Placements

The Placement Cell of Angappa College of Arts and Science creates a platform where students can showcase their talents which different companies seek to explore and utilise. We have successfully placed a large section of graduates who have appeared for placements. The Placement Cell is headed by the Placement officer Mr. Manoj Asstiant professor Department of Computer Science.

Initially the companies are invited to take part in the recruitment drive. Those interested respond and thus register with us for the year for recruitment. The students are intimated and a vast number register for the interview. The interview process usually starts with a Power Point Presentation where the company enlightens the students about their company profile. Those interested then go for the interview, which usually comprises of a written test followed by group discussion and personal interview.

The Placement Cell of ACAS has risen to the occasion and has successfully aided in providing opportunities and employment to its outgoing students. There is a great deal of enthusiasm among final year students when the placement season starts off. Students come forward with their queries regarding companies, placement procedures and the Placement Cell members readily help them.

Placement Training Programee

Campus placements play a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every engineering student to get placed in a top organization visiting their campus for recruitment.


Objectives

The prime objective of the Training Cell is

  •    To look for 100% employment for all students.
  •    To recognize the core competencies of the students.
  •    To train the students to meet the expectations of the industry through our Career Development Programmes.
  •    To build confidence in students and develop right attitude in them and To enhance their communication skills

Training Activities

  •    Create awareness about “career planning" and "career mapping" among the students.
  •    Train the students on “Personality development".
  •    Train the students in the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal reasoning through the reputed external training organizations.
  •    Train the students through Mock Interviews to perform well in the professional interviews as per the expectations of the companies
  •    Train the students on group discussion techniques
  •    Conduct online tests and written aptitude tests.
