About Our Institution
Angappa College of Arts and Science was established in 1997 by Angappa Educational Trust. Dr.T.V.Angappan is the Founder Secretary of the College who has established many educational institutions in and around Coimbatore. The founder is the grandson of the ‘Father of Co-operative movement’, Sri T.A.Ramalingam Chettiar. Dr.T.V.Angappan, who is noted for his selfless service and guiding principles, is the Founder Secretary of more than dozen Institutions. As a person of social concern and commitment, he has established a home for the aged, working women’s hostel and number of adult education centers in Coimbatore and Tirupur Districts. As an Educationalist, he has infused a deep sense of purpose in learning and integrating theoretical learning with practical aspects. The utilitarian value of education was eminent in his social reforms that uplifted the poor and backward community.
Dr.T.V.Angappan was conferred with the ‘Best Co-operator’ Award by Tamil Nadu Government in 2011. He was also conferred with the prestigious honorary Doctorate Degree commending his contributions in the field of education and social services for the betterment of students and teachers. Until recently, he was the President of the Association of Self-financing Arts, Science and Management Colleges of Tamilnadu.

Mission
The mission of ANGAPPA COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE is to provide quality education and inculcate ethical, moral and social values in the minds of faculty and students. The important policy is to bring out the hidden talents and potentials of the student community that equip them to face the challenge of the global trends.
