Our Founder
Dr.T.V.Angappan is the Founder Secretary of the College who has founded many educational institutions in and around Coimbatore. The founder is the grandson of the ‘Father of Co-operative movement’, Sri T.A.Ramalingam Chettiar. Dr.T.V.Angappan, who is noted for his selfless service and guiding principles, is the founder Secretary of more than a dozen institutions, As a person of social concern and commitment he has established a home for the aged, Angappa Working Women’s Hostel and number of adult education centers in Coimbatore and Tiripur Districts. As an Educationist he has infused a deep sense of purpose in learning and integrating theoretical learning with practical aspects. The utilitarian value of education is eminent in his social reforms that uplifted the poor and backward community.
Dr.T.V.Angappan was conferred with the ‘Best Co-operator’ Award by Tamil Nadu Government in 2011. He was also conferred with the prestigious honorary Doctorate Degree commending his contribution in the field of education and social services. Under his guidance many Seminars, Conferences and In-Service courses were organized for the betterment of Students and Teachers. Until recently he was the President of the Association of self-financing Arts, Science and Management Colleges of Tamil Nadu.
